August Makes

Summer is over! I repeat, Summer is over! And now is the most beautiful time of the year – autumn! I always get super excited when September comes as it means we’re within touching distance of longer nights, crisp orange and red leaves, cinnamon and spice, golden sunsets, and then my birthday, Halloween, bonfire night and then the Big one! Christmas! The final 3rd of the year is definitely my favourite!

Anyways, I am here to roundup my makes for August!

I made 7 projects in total this August:

First I finished this sleeveless tee.

Followed by a cute little Earwarmer.

Then came my first Bridesmaid Shawl. (Which I have just realized I never posted about! DOH!)

Followed by a collection of test bunting flags.

After that I turned my hand to a Trauma Teddy for this year’s Yarndale creative community project.

And then finally, another 2 bridesmaid shawls.

Another real productive month! I am really working hard to shrink my yarn stash in preparation for Yarndale, so this is now the final push! Wish me luck.

Augusts Makes

Oooh this has been another month filled with Plenty of Crojo. Knitmeter tells me I have crocheted over 2200 yards of yarn this month! I think that is a record for me!

First I completed this shawl.

I polished off this Linen Stitch Cowl.

Then this Pachimari Amigurumi.

I managed to make 5 octos in total.
Then I completed this jumper in under a week, a real acheivement for me.

And I made this Cactus on a train between Eltham and Whitstable.

Then I made this hat.

I finished part 6 of the Hook n Learn CAL.

I made another hat.

And I finally got started on the Pick n Mix CAL!
A great month for productivity. And if it wasnt already a great month, I have some news! Some of you may remember that back at the end of August I had an interview for a new job. Well I can finally tell you all – I got the Job! I have been offered a position as a Railway Signaller with Network Rail! What a promotion!  I found out a while ago, but was waiting for everything to be formalised and contracts to be exchanged and things to be confirmed. It really is a dream job for me so I am super excited to get started! I have to wait for the next Signalling School to start so wont be starting until January but what a great start to the new year!
What a month!
